Mark Godfrey is on a journey to capture impressions of light, patterns, music and movement on canvas. I started this journey in late 2020 as a constructive emotional release. In 2021, I retired from a 26 year stint as a lead in application software and data science at a broker dealer. Both activities utilize the left and right hemispheres. By the end of 2025, I have created over 200 works and continue to learn. I spend a lot of time choosing or modifying color for how they interact and I would say that as the artist or the viewer, the viewing is influenced by emotions, memories and energy exchange.
